Day 138: Goodbye Prague!

Today we began our day by packing our bags and checking out of our apartment. We purchased a few souvenirs and then made our way to the U.S. Embassy and Charles Bridge.
We dropped our bags off at the embassy and walked down to the famous Charles Bridge. The weather was amazing and there weren't too many tourists for a Monday afternoon. We couldn't have asked for anything better.
After walking over the bridge and snapping a few pictures we walked back to a nice restaurant for lunch. We sat in the shade and soaked in the surroundings. It was beyond beautiful. Prague has definitely become one of our favorite cities.
After we toured a bit more we made our way back to the embassy to pick up our luggage. We then took a taxi to the airport and made our way to the terminal. It was a LONG walk, but we got where we needed to be and waited until we boarded.
We had an hour flight back to Warsaw. The flight was great overall and a few were able to nap.

Once we landed in Warsaw we collected our bags and made our way to the house. Because we've been going nonstop for the last few days, we took it easy and relaxed around the house.

We decided to eat Polish cuisine close by so we didn't have to venture out too far. We went to a place we call The Stables but I don't think that's the correct name of the restaurant.
We had a ton of great food. Maddie and Caleb loved playing on the trampoline and in the rocks, so they were content.

We came back to the house, took showers, and went to bed. Everyone has had a full day!

Goodnight all.

Day 137: Prague, Day 2.

We woke up this morning and ventured down to a local breakfast place. They opened at 10, so we were at the door a bit earlier waiting.

This place was small and turns into a wine bar in the evenings. Unfortunately, they close early tonight so we won't get to go back. Breakfast was great and Maddie ate a ton of eggs! Caleb finished his breakfast like a champ and got a few more lessons regarding his etiquette.
After breakfast we got on a popular bus tour. We were able to see a lot of Prague from afar. After circling through once we went to the castle. The castle was beautiful, as were the gardens, but we didn't have time to enter it.
Once we got a few good pictures of the castle, we headed back to the bus so we could head on to our boat tour.
We walked a long ways and then arrived at the boat. Thankfully, they had drinks and food. Because of the day full of tours it was already 4 pm and we hadn't eaten yet.

We snacked on the boat tour and took in the sights. Even though it wasn't very far, it was great to sit down and enjoy the sights around us.

Once the tour finished we walked down a high end street and ended up at old town. We then ate at a local place that served Italian food. It was delicious. I think everyone was happy with their food selection.
After dinner we came back to the hotel, took showers, and went to bed.

Goodnight all!

Day 136: Prague Adventures!

This morning we got up at 5 AM and finished getting our bags together. We were out of the house around 5:45 so we could get to the airport by 6. When we arrived we checked our bags, found our gate, and waited to board.

Maddie woke up in an ill mood, but I can't blame her. None of us slept for very long. I fought with my camera, phone, and computer until 1:30 then got up at 5. I felt horrible! But, we're going to Prague, so I got over it.
Our flight was pretty uneventful, praise the Lord! Daniel was asleep before take off and Maddie fell asleep shortly after. The flight was 55 minutes long, so we didn't have too far to go before arriving.

We arrived in Prague and took a taxi to our apartment. Once there, we left yyyyyour bags, ate breakfast, and walked around the Old Town area. It's absolutely stunning.
We stumbled upon this church and decided to go inside. The views were amazing and I picture I share could truly capture how great it was.
After we toured for a bit, we walked back to our apartment and checked in. Maddie fell asleep with Wendi, who she calls Winnie, and everyone else besides Caleb took a nap.

We ventured out for more walking and sightseeing followed by a delicious dinner and ice cream!
We can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us. Goodnight!
