This morning we got up and got ready for the day. Maddie slept in a little later than normal, as did Caleb. We sat around for part of the morning and got a few things checked off of our list. We left at noon to go to a BBQ with the embassy community. Maddie's daycare also had a picnic in the same area, so we were able to do two events at once.
We saw and caught up with a lot of friends who we haven't seen in a while. Maddie and her friend ran all around the woods and attempted to climb trees. They had such a great time with one another. Most people sat on blankets and enjoyed a picnic style lunch. After Zyrafa (Maddie's daycare) was set up, we stopped by to say hello and to play a few games. Maddie saw a few of her friends and gave her teachers a hug. She had a great time but didn't take a nap so she was exhausted!
Once we left the park we headed to the store to pick up a few items we needed. Maddie fell asleep in the car and slept for about 10 minutes before we got home. When we arrived, she woke up and refused to go back to sleep. She rested for 15 minutes or so, but wouldn't take a nap. She decided to get up and ran around the house singing and playing.
Caleb left as soon as we got home to go down the street and play with his friends. He loved playing outside and also playing the Wii with another friend. He was telling me all about the game he played and also what they did outside. He had a great time.
As soon as he got home we left to go to the fair they had set up close by. We met up with a few friends there and let the kids ride a few of the rides. They had a few adult rides, but they definitely weren't for me! Maddie still hadn't taken a nap so she was a little ill overall. However, she still had a good time and when we arrived, she pointed to the lights and told me how pretty they were. She really enjoyed the carousel and airplane ride which was similar to "Dumbo" at Disney. She rode the airplanes and pushed the buttons up and down. We stayed for almost two hours and then headed home for the night.
We had ordered pizza and it arrived before we left for the fair. We warmed that up once we returned home and ate and then took showers. We then got ready to watch the UGA game. Unfortunately, the game was horrible, but we still watched all of it. Maddie fell asleep on me so I took her to bed early in the game.
We have a pretty busy day tomorrow and a lot of things to do, so hopefully we'll get some rest tonight. Goodnight!
