Day 64: Family Time

Maddie and I enjoyed a CLO coffee event this morning. We had a wonderful hostess and caught up with some friends. She has been in a great mood most of the day. She loves singing and reading books. She also likes for you to repeat certain words and phrases that she says. For instance, "Ma. Choo choo." To which I reply with her request and she then goes on to Da and Geeduh. Hilarious. 

Caleb had a great day at school. He dressed up as the main character from "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and enjoyed buying books from the book sale. Caleb spent money buying Madison some books that he knew she would like. He's such a kind and thoughtful little boy. 

After dinner the kids had baths. Caleb accidentally wet his cast. So, he sat in the bedroom floor for 20+ minutes trying to dry it out with the hair dryer. Thankfully, we go to the doctor tomorrow so I hope he's able to change it. 

Daniel and I were sitting in the floor and started playing around with Caleb. At this point it turns in to a "can you do this?" contest. Caleb is very flexible and it was funny watching Daniel try and keep up. Maddie had no part until the end. She then held hands with us and pulled herself side to side. 

We had a great night and truly enjoyed this unplanned family time together.
