Day 221: School Shopping for Caleb

Maddie let us sleep in again, which was great. We got up and going around 9 and watched some TV as we ate breakfast and drank our coffee. The kids played and took turns picking out their TV shows. Maddie wanted Mickey Mouse and Caleb wanted to watch Splat-a-lot. They compromised and neither really seemed to mind.

After we did a few things around the house we got ready and went to the mall to look for a few items for Caleb. He found a backpack that he liked and also a pair of shoes. He decided not to get the shoes from the mall so we kept looking. We wanted to buy him some new clothes, but we didn't have much luck finding items in his size. 

We left and went to the Fashion Outlet and went to the Nike store. He found the same pair of shoes that he had loved at the mall but they were almost half the price at the outlet. We didn't have luck finding clothes, but at least he was able to get a backpack and a pair of shoes. 

We left the outlets and went grocery shopping. We only needed a few items, so we stopped in and got what we could find from our list. At the end, we decided to see what toys they had so we made our way to the other side of the store. 

We found a scooter perfect for Madison. She loved it, so we bought it. You can't beat a $10 price tag either! We hope that it will help strengthen her legs and core and also help her balance a little better. 

When we got home Daniel put it together and she rode it around a little bit. The kids played great together and we even FaceTimed Nana for a little while. 

The kids were exhausted (and so were their parents) so we all called it an early night. Maddie fell asleep on me as I was reading her a story and now we're all tucked in.
