Day 134: Baseball and Books

This morning came way too soon. Daniel's mom and cousin were supposed to be in transit when I woke up, but instead I read a message that they missed their connecting flight. I'm not privy to all of the wonderful details just yet, but they are in transit now and will hopefully arrive in the morning.

After we spent an hour or so trying to figure out what was going on we got ready for school and work and made it out the door.

Traffic was terrible. It was a lot busier than normal. It took us about an hour to drive 6 miles. Seriously.

Caleb left to go to baseball practice with his friend. He enjoyed hanging out with the team and playing. He received his uniform tonight and was so excited to have it. He played well and seems to be growing with his skill set.

Maddie and I got to spend some time together.  We made silly faces and talked. We also read books. We read a lot tonight before bed. She cuddles up to me and listens as I read to her.
Love her fake smile.

She's getting better with bedtime but still struggles with us leaving the room. She doesn't cry more than 5 minutes but she still whines about it. She's done great overall with the transition though.
